Our first 10 schools under Oli’s 100 Schools Project are well underway! Wonderfully, the first ground break was at Fadie in Mali, 10th September 2020, the anniversary of Oli’s death.

On 10 September 2019 at 8 a.m., we discovered the body of our beloved Oli, lying peacefully at the bottom of a swimming pool in Menorca. It was the first day of our long-awaited family holiday. He was 25 years old.
He was a remarkable young man who wanted to leave the world a better place. In the days following his death, we discovered his anonymous writing on Quora, helping others without wanting recognition or reward.
We subsequently published a book of his wisdom. At the time of writing, over 5,000 books have been sold of book number one and we have just published his second book.
THE 100 SCHOOLS PROJECT
Having previously built 4 schools through the Magic Future Foundation in 2013, we planned one day to build more. The foundation’s construction partner, BuildOn, have already built nearly 1,600 schools and have an unparalleled track record of ensuring the ongoing success of every school project. Over the last few years, we had been speaking with BuildOn to understand how we could physically build 100 schools.
100 is a big number. But, we’re proud to now report with BuildOn’s infrastructure and expertise, it’s physically possible – and all we need to do is raise the funding together. We’re off to a great start.
We knew when planning this project how exciting it would be for everyone involved. We connected with the sense of accomplishment that would be felt as each school was funded and built - and the pride that the community would feel when all 100 were completed.
Oli was passionate about our school’s project and excited about the day we would all be able to celebrate. Sadly, he’s no longer physically with us but he’s certainly with us in spirit. Shortly after his death, we knew that the time was right to activate the project and build 100 schools in his honour.
